Frequently Asked Questions | Online Continuing Education Program
Below are commonly asked questions about our online continuing education programs
Your courses list can be accessed from the main navigation menu by hovering your mouse over “Continuing Education”, then hovering over “Continuing Education Online Programs” and then clicking on “Access Your Courses”. You may also access your courses list directly by going to Access Your Courses – PHCC Online Web Store (phccma.com). It may be helpful for you to bookmark this link while you are working on completing one of our online courses.
IMPORTANT: We have created a new platform for our Online Continuing Education programs! Please review this information regarding our new platform vs. our Legacy platform, which you may have used in the past. Please check both when looking for courses that you may have already registered for.
In order to view your courses list at this link, you must be logged in to your account. If you are logged in but do not see any courses, check your order history to see if the purchase was successfully completed. If you can see an order for the course, but don’t see it in your courses list, please send us an email so we can check on it for you. Also, if you (or someone else on your behalf) opted to pay for your online course by mailing a check or another offline method, please be advised that your course will not be accessible until payment has been received and processed through our office. If you have questions about the status of your online course payment, please contact our office at (781) 843-3800 to inquire.
This is often caused by one of two things; either you are logged into the wrong account (because you or someone assisting you may have set up other accounts for you in the past), or your browser and/or computer software needs to be updated. If you have updated your browser and/or operating system, and have tried different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.) with the same results, please contact us so we can see if you have multiple accounts.
If any of your course pages do not appear to render properly, please check your browser (we recommend Chrome) and ensure that it is up to date. Also check to make sure your operating system (Windows or Mac) is up to date. If you are still having trouble after updating, try clearing your browser history and cache settings, closing all browsers and re-opening one to try again. If you still have trouble after these steps, please email us so we can try to help you further.
A link to your Certificate of Completion will appear once you complete the final page of your course. You can print or download your certificate from that page. You may also access your certificate for any course you have completed in this system by navigating to your courses list (from the main website menu, click “Continuing Education>Continuing Education Online Programs>Access Your Courses”) and clicking on any course that shows “Completed”. Clicking on a completed course will display a link at the top of the page above the course access link where you can access the related certificate. Please note that any course in your courses list that shows “Enrolled” rather than “Completed” indicates that the course has not yet been completed 100%.
We have recently upgraded our online learning platform to include your license number(s) on each certificate you earn. If your license number(s) are not showing on your certificate, please make sure you are logged in, then click here to add any licenses to your account profile. Be sure to enter your Journeyman license, even if it is not active (unless you are a licensed LP Gas Installer).
We have recently upgraded our online learning platform to include a special field for your name on each certificate you earn. If your name not showing on your certificate, or if the certificate name is blank please make sure you are logged in, then click here to add your name to the “Name for Certificate” field in your account profile. This field is near the bottom of your profile page, so be sure to scroll to the bottom.
In order to complete your online course and earn your Certificate of Completion, all pages and quizzes in the course must be marked “Complete”. To check the pages in your online course, look at the list of page links on the left-hand side and see if there are any without a green checkmark to the left. Those links without a green checkmark need to be completed in order for the course to be completed. Please note that most pages require a minimum amount of time to be spent on the respective page topic, and that the required time for each page must elapse before you are able to mark that page complete. Also please note that all quizzes must be successfully passed before the related quiz page can be marked complete.
